Fall is Here
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fall is here! The trees are changing and the colors are vibrant and beautiful. All the different colors are just stunning. Dad, Mom, Taylor, Kyler, Reece and I went for a walk in the woods the other day and it was breathtaking. It is just amazing to see how God created such a beautiful country, and how blessed we are to live in this great place. The only bummer thing is that it is starting to get cold, and winter is just around the corner. We are not looking forward to the cold months. Summer was just not long enough. With all the rain this year it was cooler, and it felt like summer was very short. But now we can begin to look forward to sledding and building snowmen. Honestly, for me this whole year has just flown by. The fourth quarter is already here and you know what that means - time to start thinking about those wonderful holidays coming up, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

September got away from me for the newsletter and I am very sorry about that. Allan and Lois went to Alaska, and they had a very good time. When they got home, for a week after the cruise, they both felt like they were still on the ship. And they both ended up with horrible colds. But the fun they had and the chance to see Alaska made it all worth it. They saw some really awesome scenery and wildlife.


Grilling Season
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The grilling season is coming to an end for a lot of us. Even though we still grill in the winter months lots of us are putting the grills up for the winter. Time to start pulling the crock pots out and using the ovens more. We have lots of wonderful sirloin tip roasts, chuck roasts, arm roasts, rump roasts and stew meat to throw in those crock pots for a nice warm winter meal. We also have some delicious bone-in and boneless lamb roasts to cook in the oven. If you have questions about cooking any of these roasts please feel free to call us. We are happy to help.

Exciting Lamb News
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We finally are going to have lamb again. It will be ready to ship the middle of this month. We will have wholes, halves and all of the various cuts. Yeah! Supply will be very limited so please get your orders in soon. Also take advantage of the current prices, because the price of the lamb will be increasing on November 1st.


Changes for GrassRoots
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On November 1st we will be raising the price on some of the beef and lamb cuts. The prices are not going up much, and not on everything, but we will have to adjust some of the cuts, so get your orders in before the increase. Also our mailing address has changed. Our new mailing address is: 52 Olive Court, Pagosa Springs, CO, 81147.


Would you like delivery?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We would like to get your input on deliveries to your area. We are thinking about setting up regularly scheduled deliveries, every couple of months, to Denver, Albuquerque and parts of Arizona. If you are along these routes and would like to take advantage of this, please let us know so we can start to put together a schedule. Hopefully this would allow you to plan in advance in order to take advantage of the lower delivery cost. We need to hear from you, though. Thank you for your cooperation.

In Closing ...

Summer is over, Fall is here, and Winter is just a couple of months away. I think it might be another hard winter this year as it is already turning cold and it feels like the snow is just around the corner. The weatherman says we are likely to get our first snow this Sunday. Wow, that is just too early. Now is the time we begin to think about the holiday seasons. Turkey Day will be here before you know it, and Christmas is on its heals. The year has just flown by. We would again like to say thank you for all your orders, and for your support. You make all of the hard work worth it. We are blessed to be able to make a living doing something we love. It just doesn't get any better than that! Thanks again to each and every one of you.
