Fall Into Fall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The mountains are alive with fall colors here in the
San Juans of southwestern Colorado. The
aspens are aglow with gold and green and yellow and
orange. If you have never visited Colorado in the fall
we encourage you to come one day - soon.
My sister Cathy and her husband Randy actually took this photo of the mountains near Aspen, Colorado, this past weekend. Colorado is truly a glorious place to live.

Website Updates Complete ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have finished the latest round of changes to the
website. Take a look and see what you think.
The most important change was the addition of beef and lamb packages, starting at $31.99 and going up to $159.00 Literally as soon as they were posted we began getting orders. Guess that was one change that was definitely needed. The packages allow folks to pick a package that fits easily into any freezer and which gives a variety that caters to their individual needs and tastes. Perhaps one of them will work out well for your family.

DHL Shipping ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another exciting addition to the GrassRoots lineup is
the partnership we have formed with DHL Express.
DHL ships overnight throughout the country,
delivering by noon the following day, at rates half to
two thirds of UPS's next day rates. This allows us to
get your meat to you still frozen solid, and at a
speed that takes the worry out of shipping for all of
us.
Many of you have contacted us in the past for rates, and the price was unreasonably high. Give us another chance. While shipping overnight is never cheap, I think you will find the new rates quite reasonable.

Orders, Orders Everywhere! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you all for all the orders coming in. We are
receiving orders from all over the country, and with
our new shipping company we are feeling a lot better
about shipping anywhere in the U.S., and a whole lot
better
about the cost. We even received a call from the
Caribbean. Should we get that order I think we will
just have to go down there to make sure all the
details are lined out in person. Sounds good, anyway!
Welcome onboard to Potager Restaurant in downtown Denver, Colorado. Potager serves an all natural, fresh from the farm gourmet cuisine that is so far above the ordinary one must dine there to even begin to understand its uniqueness. The menu is completely new each month. Located on Ogden Street near the capitol, it is a must visit for any trip to Denver.

New Mexico Delivery ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just a reminder that we are delivering to
Albuquerque, New Mexico, the end of October, so all
of you folks along that route get your orders in right
away. The delivery charge is $60 per quarter for
beef. Call or email for delivery charges on lamb,
custom or standard packages.

GrassRoots is growing steadily. We have had some
growing pains along the way, but each month we get
a little better at what we do. The animals look
fantastic, the grass has been great, and the orders
