Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving time makes us wish we were raising turkeys! Haven't heard of too many folks having roast beef or leg of lamb for Thanksgiving and if it is turkey on your table this year hope it turns out delicious. We will be having ours with family in Texas. Thank you all so much for your support over the year. It has been a great year for us. Your compliments are especially treasured. Makes us so glad that we started our business when we get to work with nice folks like you. |

Ski Area Open ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For any of you close enough to care, our Wolf Creek
Ski Area opened last Friday, with 57 inches of snow
between September and October. This is apparently
the earliest they have ever opened.
Wolf Creek typically has the most snow and the best powder conditions in Colorado, as well as some of the cheapest lift tickets and hotel accommodations. If you haven't skied Wolf Creek, you might want to give it a try.

Texas and Colorado Deliveries ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our delivery run to Albuquerque and Santa Fe went
great. We will be making a run through Texas
around the 7th of November. We will be coming down
through Amarillo, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and then on to
Houston. During the week of Thanksgiving we will be
going on to Austin and also to Fredericksburg. If you
are anywhere along this route and would like
delivery, please let us know ASAP.
We will also be making a run to Denver in early December and can make deliveries there and along the way. Get those orders in so we can get lined out. We are running out of a few cuts but have lots of meat on hand.

Shipping ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The last day to ship in November is the 13th and we
need to have your order by the 7th. We will be
completely closed down from November 14th through
November 27th. You can always reach us on our cell
phone, but we will not be in town or able to ship.
DHL is doing a wonderful job for us. We shipped one package to West Virginia - it was picked up here at 12:30 in the afternoon and arrived at its destination by 9:30 the following morning, which is actually 7:30 our time. Amazing. The rates are quite reasonable, especially as compared with UPS and FedEx. We still use UPS Ground whenever they are able to deliver within two days, and that is by far the least expensive way. We can service most of Colorado, Utah and New Mexico this way.

New Book Discovery ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A good friend, Patricia Deissler, has recommended a
book that looks like a very interesting
read. And it is loaded with lots of good recipes, so it
is doubly good. I have not had a chance to read it
yet, but only skimmed through it, yet it looks to be a
great resource for information on health and
nutrition.
The name of the book is Nourishing Traditions, and the author is Sally Fallon, with Mary G Enig, PhD. It is the cookbook that challenges politically correct nutrition and the diet dictocrats. If any of you have already read it, let me know what you thought of it. I am anxious to get a copy and read it myself.

Well, thank you all again for your wonderful support
of our business this year. God bless you all and may
you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family
and/or friends.
