Looking Back, Looking Forward ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As 2007 draws to a close and we are
observing the dawn of 2008, it is a time to
remember, as well as a time to plan. Looking
back,
2007 had its shares of highs and lows,
sadness and joy, times we will always
remember and times we would like to forget.
Such is life.
One can't help but wonder as we look back on 2008 a year from now what will we say about it? Surely we will have a new president, with lots of hope for a good future, but will we be looking back and remembering the good news or the bad? We hope that looking back will be a moment of simple joy, an "aha" moment with a long, happy sigh of contentment - thinking, "Now that was a good year." We hope that 2007 was that kind of year for you, and that 2008 is even better.

My New Year's Resolution ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Want to slow down time? Do the weeks and
the months and the years just seem to fly by?
I have found the trick to slowing time down is
to stay in the moment, to stop living for
tomorrow, or next week, or next month, and be
completely involved in the day, in the moment,
and focused on the people in your life.
This is not as simple as it sounds, as it is so easy to get caught up in our plans for the future that today is merely a blur towards that goal, but by forcing oneself to let go of the future and appreciate the moment, the day before you, is to slow time down. Embrace the challenges of the day, and connect to the people whose paths cross yours. Try to be more aware that the opportunities of today are lost if we are too focused on tomorrow. As we learn to live in the moment, the moments build wonderful memories and rather than time becoming a blur, it is a wonderful collection of times well spent and moments worth remembering. My New Year's resolution is to live more in the moment, and to let tomorrow take care of itself.

January Specials ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We need some help clearing out some excess
inventory. We have a few items left that we
have discontinued in the line - Chuck Steaks
and Pikes Peak Roasts. We are closing them
out at $3.79 per pound, a huge savings over
regular price. Since this is closeout, it is first
come, first served, so get your order in right
away.
Also, order 50 pounds of Ground Beef for $219.00 and we will pay for the shipping - customers in UPS Ground (for delivery in 2 days) only - all others add $40.00. Local customers can call for an adjusted discount. Also stock up for the winter with Chuck Roasts at $4.49 per pound, a savings of $1.50 per pound. These specials are good through the end of January.
